Vickie's Place

My husband and I love Vickie's because the food is ALWAYS amazing and hot. The drinks are always delicious. Being outside near the water is so blissful AND the pooch porch is amazing because we can have dinner with our two mini dachshunds and have our whole little family together. The dog menu is a huge hit with our dogs and they love the complimentary milk bone and water. This is one of our top summer restaurants every year :) Oh. And the fries are to die for

I ordered the buffalo chicken burger which was delicious and my girlfriend had the French onion soup I typically don't eat onions but my girlfriend insisted I taste it needless to say I was very impressed with the flavor. We highly recommend it. Our server was also very kind and helpful.

Stopped for lunch today. We both had the Fisherman's basket. Fish and shrimp were both beer battered, and tasted delicious. Basket came with fries, which were hot and tasty, and coleslaw. Service was great. Nice place by the river with outside dining available. We will be back.

I went there was a good friend a few days ago. We live in opposite areas and found Vickie's to be in the middle so we decided to try it. I ordered one of the special burgers-Mauna Loa and my friend ordered an appetizer for lunch. The burger was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. It was cooked to perfection, and all the topping made it absolutely delicious. It comes with fries, but the picture on the menu showed half fries and half onion strings so I asked the server about it and she said I could have half and half which I did and both were very good and plentiful. My friend had an appetizer and said it was great. Alyssa, the server was tremendous in every way-friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, prompt, patient, quick and a lot of fun to talk with which made the meal into a 5 star experience. We sat outside and it was a great to be right on the Fox River on such a nice afternoon. The menu is extensive and I can't wait to go back to try other items.

The food was tasty, especially the Mediterranean salad, and it was delightful to sit outside. Our favorite aspect, though, was being able to bring our dog. Not only is there a special patio area for pups, but they have a special, pet-friendly menu. Physical spacing was good and most staff wore masks appropriately.

A restaurant with a water view? Friendly staff? A menu with a huge variety? You can't ask for more. I should of got pics of the other meals, don't go by mine as I eat like a 6 year old. One got a burger that was huge and the other a salad & he said the dressing was so good he had to finish the salad. Homemade dressing at that! You can definitely find something for all the taste buds here. And a patio for those upcoming warm days. the cheese sticks are a MUST.
